Premepted WTW Wednesday

Interview between Keira Kroft and Savannah Rayne

Hello, welcome to Writer to Writer Wednesday, we are so very glad to have you with us. The Hellfire Herald would like to extend a warm welcome to Savannah Rayne

How are you doing today?
I’m doing very well and super excited to be here today!

Keira: You have a story coming out soon though Hellfire Publishing entitled Words of an Angel. What is that about?

Savannah: I am very excited about my latest story Words of an Angel which will be published soon with Hellfire Publishing. Words of an Angel is a paranormal romance that has situations in it that we all go through in life…only with a twist.

Rayanne Bradley experiences some life changes. She will struggle with new choices that will affect both her personal and professional life. Rayanne decides to fulfill a life-long dream—writing a book. At first she has no idea where to begin with her manuscript, but then her muse shows up. Ecanus is the angel of writers; helping them with original ideas and to complete their literary works. He takes Rayanne under his wing (no pun intended) helping her in making her dream come true. Rayanne will also find the man of her dreams. As the worlds of dreams and reality collide, the two will struggle with choosing to do what’s right, or choosing to follow what’s in their hearts. One will be faced with giving up everything they’ve ever known, a choice that if made, will result in never, ever going back. The other feels it’s too great a sacrifice to ask someone to make. A huge question will need to be answered—How far is too far to go, when you love someone?

Keira: What made you choose that title?

Savannah: Simply the fact that Ecanus is the angel of writers and helps them put what’s in their heads, into words to share with the world.

Keira: Where did the idea for your story come from?

Savannah: I whole heartedly believe in angels, and was doing some research for another project when I came across Ecanus-the angel of writers, so that part of the story is in a sense true, there is such an angel. I was inspired in thinking how great a story that would make and went with the idea.

Keira: Please share a particular detail about one of the characters.

Savannah: Well, I have already touched on the fact that Ecanus is an angel. Rayanne, the main character in the story, is in her early thirties. She had always been an avid reader, which eventually led to her working for a local newspaper. Her job demanded a lot of her time, so her love relationships suffered. Although due to the economic times she loses her job, it ends up being the best thing that could have happened to her. That one seemingly bad circumstance ends up making all her dreams come true.

Keira: Please tell us about any future projects you are planning.

Savannah: Funny you should ask that Keira! I have recently reviewed my list of works in progress. There are now six horror, six romance, and one suspense thriller in the works! I’m going to be a very busy girl : )

Keira: How many books have you written?

Savannah: I have two books published through Hellfire Publishing, Oh, Deer and When It Leaves. In my list of WIP, included is the prequel for When It Leaves titled Whispering Breezes. I have also decided there will be a sequel as well titled Howling Winds of Autumn. Be sure to watch for them in the future!

Keira: We have a special place for unpublished writers in our hearts, here at the Hellfire Herald. So what advice would you give to an unpublished writer?

Savannah: Wow, where do I begin on this. I guess first, never give up! Then make sure to have your work edited and listen to the advice your editor is giving you. Check that ego at the door, lol. You may not agree with what your editor is saying, however, you should at least consider it with an open mind. After all, they are only trying to make your story the very best it can be. Make sure your manuscript is as good as you can make it before sending it in or self-publishing. Lastly, always be polite. Whether it’s with your publisher, editor, building a social network or your readers, a sincere “thank you” speaks volumes about you. It also means a lot to people whether they are helping you directly with your work, sharing a link or helping to promote or review your book.
Let’s get personal…

Keira: Do you work a job outside the home or is this your only career?

Savannah: You are a funny lady! I have more jobs than I have time for : )  Besides writing, I do day care and watch a 2 and 4 year old 8-10 hours a day. I also do editing and copy editing.

Keira: What’s your favorite thing to do?

Savannah: Is that an appropriate interview question? LOL

Keira: Are you a reader?

Savannah: You’re really starting to crack me up here Keira! Like hellz yeah I am! Always have been, always will be! They better bury me with books  : )

Keira: Do you have a special writing method?

Savannah: Yep, one word at a time! Oh, and coffee…have to have my much loved coffee!

Keira: What do you wear, to write?

Savannah: Hmmm, who says I wear anything? **wink**

Keira: Do you have children?

Savannah: Yes, two; a daughter and a son whom I love dearly and I am very proud of.

Keira: Is writing your only talent?

Savannah: LOL, wouldn’t you like to know! **wink**

Keira: Where in the Hell did you find time to write?

Savannah: Well, first I have to beg on my hands and knees, promise undying loyalty forever and ever, and ask Demon Momma for some time off to write! If all else fails, I try to bribe her with cheesecake or threaten to kidnap the Butler! LOL Naw, I’m kidding. Usually, I work it in between everything else I do. If I know I have a scheduled day off from the kids and things are okay with editing, I try to take advantage of it and get some writing done.

Keira: Can you share your blurb with us?

Savannah: I’d love to!

Blurb for Words of an Angel

After losing her job at the local newspaper, Rayanne Bradley finally had the time to reach for one of her dreams—writing a book. What should have been an easy task, ended up getting off to a slow start, until the day her muse showed up. Now whenever the masculine scent of musk was in the air, her thoughts flowed freely as she typed them into what would become her book. As the manuscript unfolds, it seems to take on a life of its own—so do her dreams. Could this be real? Had she met the long haired, sexy man of her dreams? Could she believe and trust the words of an angel?
