Hello, welcome to Writer to Writer Wednesday, we
are so very glad to have you with us. The Hellfire Herald would like to extend
a warm welcome to Brian AndersonKeira:Where did the idea for your story come from?
Brian: Actually, my son came up with the original concept a couple of years ago (a fact that is reflected on the cover). He has always been an imaginative child, but when he told me the idea that ended up become the basis for The Godling Chronicles, I knew right away it was something special. In fact, the entire prologue is straight from his mind, action for action. I put it in words, but the progression was all Jonathan. The premise and the two initial characters were his, as well. Even the names Gewey and Lee were his.
As for the story line...given such a great foundation, it was nothing for the rest of the world to appear before me. It was the easiest writing I've ever done. Now don't misunderstand the book. It is not a children's story. Though classified as young adult/fantasy, it was written to be enjoyed by fantasy lovers, both young and old.
Keira:What is your preferred genre to write in?
Brian: That's an interesting question. For many years I wrote dark, cerebral, and honestly, off the wall short stories. But I found it to be more of an intellectual exercise, rather than good storytelling. The symbolism was obscure, and the storylines extremely controversial. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy that sort of thing, and I may return to it once all of the Godling Chronicles books are written. But writing fantasy has given me a way to strengthen my abilities as a storyteller, without the burden of trying to make people understand what I am writing. Frankly, I have fast become a fan of reading for fun, as well as writing for the sake of a fun story.
Keira:Please tell us about any future projects you are planning.
Brian: I just finished The Godling Chronicles-Book Two: Of Gods and Elves. It is about to go to the editor as soon as I get it back from the proof readers, and is scheduled to be released in November 2012.
As for other project, I have several. I'm currently writing the third book of the series and it is proving to be as fun as the first two.
Also, I'm in the process of writing two books based in my hometown of Spanish Fort, Alabama. One a semi-biographical novel, the other a complete work of fiction. Thankfully, there is no time limit on either.
Finally, there is my goofy project. It's a comic book called "The Adventures of Moufti the Wise", about a Pakistani immigrant who, although clueless, is convinced of his own wisdom. And like most wise men, he feels it his destiny to spread his wisdom. I'm working on it with my father, who is doing the artwork, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so who knows how long it will take?
Keira:How many books have you written?
Brian: As far as how many have been publish, just The Godling Chronicles, and so far two have been completed. I've never really tried to get anything else published before.
Keira:Do you work at job outside the home or is this only career?
Brian: I am the co-owner of LeeAnderson Gulf Seafood. But when I was writing Book One, I worked as a car salesman. Believe me when I tell you that is was hard to find time to write, working 12 hours a day. Now I have a lot more time. It's been great.
I hope to one day retire and write full time, but for now the whole "food and shelter" thing gets in the way.
Keira:Do you have a special writing method?
Brian: I guess I should say yes...but no, not really. I try my best to plan out my plots and characters, but the truth is, I'm better off when I wing it. I know some writers outline every detail, and I have tried it myself, but I've never been able to make it work. No matter how hard I try or how much I plan, the story always takes me in directions I didn't expect.
I do need coffee and smokes, though. Yes, yes yes....how very 1950's of me.
Keira: Are you married?
Brian: Yes I am. I've been married for 10 years to my loving wife Eleni.
Keira: Do you havechildren?
Brian: Jonathan is my only child. But he's about as much as I can handle. A creative child is a real handful. I love it, though. He keeps me on my toes.
Keira: What’s yourfavorite thing to do?
Brian: I'm pretty meat and potatoes. I like to relax on my deck with some beer and watch the lightning bugs. So long as I don't run low on beer or bugs, I'm good for the evening.
Keira: What is your motto?
Brian: Don't sweat the small stuff.

Keira Kroft,

Why do you believe some girls seek out interactions with males
ReplyDeletein jail, a lot of them imprisoned for life?
Brutal serial killers like the Night Stalker have had women look for him out for a partnership and possible marriage.
How come some girls do that? Is it due to the fact they think they are going to be needed inside a drastic way by
an imprisoned man, far more than the usual free of charge guy?

Boakyewa,
ReplyDeleteThis can be a quite fascinating topic you received happening
right here. Today is your lucky day cos I am living proof that it is completely feasible to fulfill your future adore on a networking or social media marketing site.
I met my now Wife on a social websites web site (Not FB) but similar.
I't was pure coincidence since I used to be not on that site to discover adore within the 1st location.
Basically I found some of the factors she wrote about herself very intriguing and fascinating thus wanted to know a lot more. I commented on her bio no motive in mind than to know far more about her hobby (studying men and women) which coincidentally is one in the things I prefer to do in my own free time . We did plenty of inboxing' back
and forth for over three months and in these three months we never ever spoke on the phone.
(individually I used to be not so keen on talking with her on the phone).
Fast forward a number of months... It so happened which i was in her city for some company
and i experienced commented on my page on how horrible that city was oops!
Properly she inbox me letting me know how offended
she was cos I had been talking about her city (experienced no idea).
She was so bent on proving to me how excellent her city was that she offered to show me a few fascinating places in the city.
Wow! how bold... Not so keen on this I countered her offer you by suggesting a quick lunch in any location of her
choice (she had to prove me wrong). We met and to say the the
very least the chemistry was instant... Lunch went by
so fast... had to leave back towards the hotel for any meeting so we exchanged
numbers and the rest is history.
Still happily married
with a single stunning daughter (a year old).
So all I have to say is the fact that enjoy has no strategy.
.. It just hits you when you the very least expect and yes it
can come about on fb too .
