Not Authorized!

Bad, bad site! It has come to my attention that http://www.pdfebookss.com/was-once-a-hero-PDF-6374.html is offering our book for free if you answer a questionnaire, but it’s a spam site and most likely viral. Edward McKeown and I urge you not to fall this scam and to assure you that, this was not authorized by us and not safe to use.

WTW Wednesday:Keira Kroft and Brian D. Anderson

Hello, welcome to Writer to Writer Wednesday, we are so very glad to have you with us. The Hellfire Herald would like to extend a warm welcome to Brian Anderson

Keira:Where did the idea for your story come from?

Brian: Actually, my son came up with the original concept a couple of years ago (a fact that is reflected on the cover). He has always been an imaginative child, but when he told me the idea that ended up become the basis for The Godling Chronicles, I knew right away it was something special. In fact, the entire prologue is straight from his mind, action for action. I put it in words, but the progression was all Jonathan. The premise and the two initial characters were his, as well. Even the names Gewey and Lee were his.
As for the story line...given such a great foundation, it was nothing for the rest of the world to appear before me. It was the easiest writing I've ever done.
Now don't misunderstand the book. It is not a children's story. Though classified as young adult/fantasy, it was written to be enjoyed by fantasy lovers, both young and old.

Keira:What is your preferred genre to write in?

Brian: That's an interesting question. For many years  I wrote dark, cerebral, and honestly, off the wall short stories. But I found it to be more of an intellectual exercise, rather than good storytelling. The symbolism was obscure, and the storylines extremely controversial. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy that sort of thing, and I may return to it once all of the Godling Chronicles books are written. But writing fantasy has given me a way to strengthen my abilities as a storyteller, without the burden of trying to make people understand what I am writing. Frankly, I have fast become a fan of reading for fun, as well as writing for the sake of a fun story.

Keira:Please tell us about any future projects you are planning.

Brian: I just finished The Godling Chronicles-Book Two: Of Gods and Elves. It is about to go to the editor as soon as I get it back from the proof readers, and is scheduled to be released in November 2012.
As for other project, I have several. I'm currently writing the third book of the series and it is proving to be as fun as the first two.
Also, I'm in the process of writing two books based in my hometown of Spanish Fort, Alabama. One a semi-biographical novel, the other a complete work of fiction. Thankfully, there is no time limit on either.
Finally, there is my goofy project. It's a comic book called "The Adventures of Moufti the Wise", about a Pakistani immigrant who, although clueless, is convinced of his own wisdom. And like most wise men, he feels it his destiny to spread his wisdom. I'm working on it with my father, who is doing the artwork, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so who knows how long it will take?

Keira:How many books have you written?
Brian: As far as how many have been publish, just The Godling Chronicles, and so far two have been completed. I've never really tried to get anything else published before.

Keira:Do you work at job outside the home or is this only career?

Brian: I am the co-owner of LeeAnderson Gulf Seafood. But when I was writing Book One, I worked as a car salesman. Believe me when I tell you that is was hard to find time to write, working 12 hours a day. Now I have a lot more time. It's been great.
I hope to one day retire and write full time, but for now the whole "food and shelter" thing gets in the way.

Keira:Do you have a special writing method?
Brian: I guess I should say yes...but no, not really. I try my best to plan out my plots and characters, but the truth is, I'm better off when I wing it. I know some writers outline every detail, and I have tried it myself, but I've never been able to make it work. No matter how hard I try or how much I plan, the story always takes me in directions I didn't expect.
I do need coffee and smokes, though. Yes, yes yes....how very 1950's of me.

Keira: Are you married?
Brian: Yes I am. I've been married for 10 years to my loving wife Eleni.

Keira: Do you havechildren?
Brian: Jonathan is my only child. But he's about as much as I can handle. A creative child is a real handful. I love it, though. He keeps me on my toes.

Keira: What’s yourfavorite thing to do?
Brian: I'm pretty meat and potatoes. I like to relax on my deck with some beer and watch the lightning bugs. So long as I don't run low on beer or bugs, I'm good for the evening.

Keira: What is your motto?
Brian: Don't sweat the small stuff.

The Godling Chronicles is available in both paperback and kindle. It can be found on Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, booksamillion.com, and about 20 other sites both in the U.S. and abroad.

WTW Wednesday Interview between Keira Kroft and Deborah Noel

Hello, welcome to Writer to Writer Wednesday, we are so very glad to have you with us. The Hellfire Herald would like to extend a warm welcome to Deborah.

Thank you Keira, for having me. It’s an honor for me to be here!

How are you doing today?

Fine, thank you!

Keira: You had your debut vampire novel release in 2011 though Vamptasy Publishing entitled “Tangled Blood Lines”. What is that about?

In a nutshell ~ it’s about old-school vampires, witches, half-breeds, crime scene investigations and more.

Keira: What made you choose that title?

I originally started with Blood Lines as a play on CSI following the trails of blood and with the family histories uncovered within the book. Unfortunately, someone else had the same title, so I had to add something to it, so I picked “Tangled” with the help of my husband and a few good friends.

Keira: Where did the idea for your story come from?

Honestly, when “Twilight” came out, I saw a lot of vampires fans voice their want and need for old-school vampires. I wanted to see if I could meet their needs while still keeping the fans of not so mean vampire fans happy too with a love story twist.

Keira: Please tell us about any future projects you are planning.

“Tangled Blood Lines” is book one of a series, so of course I’m working on the rest of the books in the series, with a sub-series in there.

I’m also working on finishing a book my best friend asked me to finish for her when she was diagnosed with brain cancer.

I am sponsoring a marine who is walking across America to raise awareness and funds to help veterans. I will be writing his story when his walk is complete.

I am also collaborating a book with my nine year old niece, who recently told me she wanted to be an author like me. J

There is also a book on my family’s history, a children’s series, a few other titles I thought of that I think will have a good entertaining story to.

Keira: Are you currently running any contests? What are they?

I just ended one. I will be announcing another one soon.

Keira: How many books have you written?

“Tangled Blood Lines” is my first completed novel.

Keira: We have a special place for unpublished writers in our hearts, here at the Hellfire Herald. So what advice would you give to an unpublished writer?

To keep writing, learning, growing and never put the pen down.

Let’s get personal…

Keira: Do you work at job outside the home or is this only career?

My husband and I own and operate a small demolition business and I’m hoping to do some bartending on the side in the near future.

Keira: What’s your favorite thing to do?

Hang out with my husband and Jack Russell. We like to go four-wheeling and to the beach.

Keira: Are you a reader?

I am a reader, though I haven’t been doing it as much as I want to lately.

Keira: Where in the Hell did you find time to write?

Honestly, when the muse demands it.

Keira: Can you share your blurb with us?

“Old-school vampires have re-surfaced, responsible for brutal murders and more blood than anyone can cope with. Cianna Fitzgerald, a young but 'retired' crime scene investigator, finds herself back in a world she walked away from some years ago.

“She grew up in knowing she possesses superhuman power from her 'Irish pixie' bloodlines. She had retired after a particularly tough case where the victim was her husband’s twin brother. After her brief respite from murders and homicides, Cianna witnesses a killing where the murderer is a vampire. Her daughter goes missing soon after the killing. Cianna and the love she had once pushed out of her life, her estranged husband Declan, travel halfway around the world to try to save their daughter.

“As the mystery unravels, she learns that although she is a half-breed, the other half isn’t 'Irish pixie' as she grew up believing – weaving her into a more tangled history and frightening future than she had bargained for.”

WTW Wednesday Interview, Keira Kroft and Gary Starta

Interview between Keira Kroft and Gary Starta

Hello, welcome to Writer to Writer Wednesday, we are so very glad to have you with us. The Hellfire Herald would like to extend a warm welcome to Gary Starta.

How are you doing today?

Fine, pleased to meet you and excited to share news about my latest release.

Keira: You have a story coming out soon though Champagne Book Group entitled Demon Inhibitions. What is that about?

Gary: An FBI agent leaves her job when she discovers she has paranormal abilities but when she tries to change career direction an old friend requests her aid to hunt a fugitive. Unknown to most, the fugitive is a soul stealer. Things become more paranormal – so to speak – minute by minute including the agent herself, Caitlin Diggs.

Keira: What made you choose that title?

Gary: Demon Inhibitions came to me because I wanted to imagine a way demons could actually be inhibited from using their destructive powers. I created a girl whose singing voice inhibits demon vices.

Keira: Where did the idea for your story come from?

Gary: This is a continuation of my Caitlin Diggs series and the idea of a singer inhibiting demons came from a short story.

Keira: Please share a particular detail about one of characters, please.

Gary: Caitlin Diggs is late 30’s, struggling to come to grips with leaving her career where she lived, ate and breathed her job. She dresses conservatively and is athletic but also likes junk food. The idea of her battling to be pure – or at least free from junk food – comes into play when she enters a parallel universe and must face her ever growing paranormal abilities and possible connection to an Egyptian goddess.

Keira: Please tell us about any future projects you are planning.

Gary: Kindred Killers is also releasing soon. This is mystery/crime. Also trying to place several more novels and finish my latest.

Keira: Are you currently running any contests? What are they?

Gary: I love to reward visitors who like my FB page to a free ebook every now and then.

Keira: How many books have you written?

Gary: A total of 12 novels.

Keira: We have a special place for unpublished writers in our hearts, here at the Hellfire Herald.

Gary: So what advice would you give to an unpublished writer? Persistence is key!

Let’s get personal…

Keira: What’s your favorite thing to do?

Gary: Read or watch a story which immerses me.

Keira: Are you a reader?

Gary: Most definitely and I would say it’s how I learned to write rather than cite my background which includes a journalism/English degree.

Keira: Is writing your only talent?

Gary:  I think so. Once upon a time I sang in bands. But the writing bug grew much stronger than the singing bug.

Keira: Where in the Hell did you find time to write?

Gary: Very good question! I dedicated weekends and over the past seven years I have 12 novels to show for it.  My advice for those who feel they can’t find the time is to make consistent small allotments of time and you’ll be surprised how the word count rises.

Keira: Can you share your blurb with us?

Sure

Chasing a soul stealer in her reality, psychic investigator Caitlin Diggs inadvertently travels through a portal to another reality and witnesses her fugitive kill her alternate self in DEMON INHIBITIONS. Assuming her alternate's life as an agent of the FBI’s Preternatural Crime Division, Diggs believes... her position might help her capture the soul stealer until she finds he may be part of a sinister terrorist plot to keep humans and demons living in segregation. A girl, whose singing inhibits the evil urges of demons, is on the terrorist’s hit list and Diggs will ultimately learn her fugitive is neither supernatural nor demon, but a genetically engineered hit man incapable of being enthralled.

One lucky commenter will win a free e-copy of DEMON INHIBITIONS

Most people don’t travel to another universe to get a new job, house and boyfriend but psychic investigator Caitlin Diggs did. Now she’s living the life of her alternate self, working for the FBI’s Preternatural Division where her first case just happens to include chasing a genetically engineered man hell bent on stealing souls. Well, there had to be consequences.
